For my science discovery I chose to learn more about lizards. Most people know that lizards are reptiles, but there is so much more that people don't know about them. Some lizards are able to De-attach their tails if a predator grabs their tail. Some types of lizards are geckos, and chameleons. Chameleons have long tongues, and mainly eat insects. Geckos have no eyelids, and are very good at climbing. Lizards are a very interesting creatures. The final thing that I found about lizards is that lizards are found in many islands.
For this weeks science discovery I chose to learn more about giraffes. The first thing that I found was that giraffes can weigh as much as a pick up truck! Another interesting fact is that giraffes have more than one stomach. Most people know that giraffes have long necks but there is so much more about them than just that. Female giraffes give birth while standing up. Also, drinking is very dangerous for giraffes because they can't see behind them if something were to attack. Finally, I was able to find out that giraffes live in Africa.
