Because it is Spring, I decided to do my first science discovery on thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are formed from moisture and unstable air. Thunderstorms are produced by cumulonimbus clouds, usually producing gusty winds, heavy rain and sometimes hail. Thunderstorms are also known as electrical storms. Thunderstorms occur year round and at all hours. It is estimated that there are about 1,800 thunderstorms that occur around the world every day. Even though most thunderstorms are small, they can be very dangerous.

Tadpoles are born with gills, just like fish, so that they can breathe underwater. They have a big head and a long tail. They do not look like frogs yet. Tadpoles have a tough life. It's a good thing they are fast swimmers to escape many other creatures in the pond. They are a favorite food to fish and water beetles. As tadpoles grow, they start to form legs. They also start to have more of a structured body. These tadpoles slowly turn into frogs.
