Do minor wounds (cuts, abrasions) heal faster with or without a bandage?

INCLUDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING WITH YOUR EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN:
[remember it must be a controlled experiment]

1. A hypothesis: Minor wounds will heal faster with a bandage than without a bandage.

2. Explain how to set up the experiment:
  • brainstorm a list of all the variables that must be kept constant during the experiment: blood type, bandage brand, age of people, size of bandage, what is in the bandage, how old wound is, health of people, thickness of skin, how wound happened, tempature of room, size of cut; depth, width, length of cut, and when the bandage was put on.
  • include identification of the independent variable: The independent variable would be the bandage.
  • the dependent variable: The dependent variable is how fast the wound will heal
  • identify the control group: The control group is the group without bandages.
  • identify the experimental group(s): The expiremental group is the group with bandages.

3. Provide enough details for someone else to set up your experiment: A scientist was expirementing if a minor wound heals faster with a bandage than without. So he hired 50 people that he cut on the knee. There is group A with 25 people and will have bandages on. Also, there is group B who will not have bandages. After about 3 days the scientist will gather data from each group.
