SD: Who were the first immigrants to immigrate to America?
You may think the very first immigrants that migrate to America is Christopher Columbus. That is not true, the first immigrants from America came from Asia. Scientists believe they either came by walking on a land bridge between Siberia and Alaska about 15,000 years ago when the sea levels were much much lower than they are today or they came by sailing. They have thought to be sailed because there was no evidence of walking but they are both thereoy and are both possible!

SD: Who as Henry "Box'' Brown?
Henry "Box" Brown was born in Virginia in a 1815. He was born into slavery. A the age of 15 he was sent to a tabacco factory in Richmond. When Browns family was sold , brown decided he would ship himself to Philadelphia from Richmond in a wooden box as cargo to escape freedom. He decided this at the age of 33. During Henry's adventure to Philidelphia on March 29, 1849, Henry's box that he was in traveled by wagon, railroad, steamboat, wagon again, railroad, ferry, railroad, and finally delivery wagon. Henry was in there for 27 hours. he brought some snacks to snack on the way. But he made it to freedom, in an odd, and uncomfortable way.
