My science discovery is on Giraffe's. The giraffe is the tallest living animal and the largest ruminant. A ruminant is a mammal that is able to acquire nutrients from plant based food by taking it through a process that converts sugar to acids gases and or alcohol. This process is called fermentation. They are known for their long neck and legs. An adult giraffe is 5-6 m tall, their average weight is 1,192kg. Although the giraffes long neck and legs the giraffes body is fairly short.
