Over the weekend my friend and I were eating ice cream and my friend got a brain freeze. I wondered how people get brain freezes? when I looked it up i figured out that when something touches the roof of your mouth the temperature change of the tissue nerves causes swelling of blood vessels. which causes a brain freeze.

In English were reading about a man named Joseph Carey Merrick. Also known as the Elephant Man. He was born on August 5, 1862. His parents were Joseph and Mary Merrick. At a young age he started to grow lots of warts and stuff like that. His mother died when he was 11. And his step mom threw him out. At age 20 he took advantage of his features and joined the circus. Later he was taken to a doctor who soon became his best friend. Later he died and scientist believe it was because he tried to sleep like a normal person. His neck snapped and caused him to suffocate. Hes still remembered to this day as the Elephant Man.
