December 31 Olivia freer science discovery

one of this weeks science discoveries I am going to do is the bald eagle. the bald eagle is rare and barely seen, it is our national bird. signs that the bird you see is a bald eagle would be the white head and black body, and the orange feet and beak. the bald eagle is the only unique eagle in north America. the bald eagle usually eat fish, carrion, smaller birds and some rodents. they are also known to prey on large birds and large fish. bald eagles live near bodies of water in Canada and Alaska. more eagles are scattered through the lower bottom 48 states and mexico. to find out more information visit www.**baldeagle**info.com/**eagle**/**eagle**-**facts**.html.

my last discovery of the month is the pink fairy armadillo. you didn't know they exist? well they do and they and the strangest animal I have ever seen. the pink fairy armadillo is the smallest armadillo species. it barely looks like an armadillo and if you pay close attention you can tell that it is an armadillo by the bard shell on its back. normal armadillos look like they are a hard shell but the pink fairy armadillo is short like a finger and has a shell like a turtle, it also has fur under the protection of their shell. to find out more information go to http://thewebsiteofeverything.com/animals/mammals/Xenarthra/Dasypodidae/Chlamyphorus/Chlamyphorus-truncatus.htm.
