Science Discovery 2/20/15

This science discovery I was thinking about what to do. I thought about something that we use everyday and I thought of the light bulb. Light bulbs work from heat that is caused by electricity. When the electricity passes through a wire it causes the wire to heat up very fast. The wire heats up so much that it starts to glow and gives off light.

For this science discovery I thought long and hard about what to do. I finally figured out I would do it on Fiber Optic cable and how it works. Fiber optic cables are made up of 100 or more super thin pieces of glass. The way that it works is it transfers information very fast by using a light technology. Light goes through the glass at high speeds to the receiver and it transfer the information.
