My discovery this week will be on elephants. An elephants life span is 44.8 years for an Asian elephant. When they mate the whole family is present, this means the family has to watch the bull mate with the female. Elephants have live birth. Baby elephants are approximately 3 ft. and 200 lbs. Elephants are most known in Africa. Elephants eat grass, fruit, and bark which Africa has these things.
My science discovery this week is about sharks. Their lifespan is 20-30 years. They can swim up to 8km/h. A sharks scientific name is Selachimorpha. There is 400 known species of sharks that have been found by humans so far. It is unknown when sharks mate, however when they do they swim parallel to each other.
FUN FACT: Believe it or not sharks can actually puke their guts out. Although it's just a figure of speech to us, it can actually happen to sharks. It happens by sharks swallowing licence plates or other things sharks aren't supposed to eat.
