For my science discovery I chose to do research on frogs. Frogs are amphibians which means it can live on both land and water. Frogs go through a very interesting life cycle which starts as an egg. The egg then hatches and turns into a tadpole. The tadpoles will live in water. After a while that tadpole will turn into a frog! A fun fact I found was that instead of drinking water frogs soak the water through their skin. Not only do they get water through their skin but they also absorb some air. Frogs usually breed at the age of 3 years old. The final thing I found out about frogs was that when they're sleeping their eyes are still open! Frogs eyes and constantly open.
For my science discovery I wanted to learn more about pigs. Pigs eat both plants and animals just like humans do. Surprisingly, pigs have amazing sense of smell. They even use their noses for finding food. There are over 2 BILLION pigs in the world currently. It's common for humans to kill pigs for food. They use pigs to make bacon, ham, and pork. Because of pigs being so friendly, some people keep them as pets! Wild pigs are called boars. These are the pigs that get hunted for in the wild. Pigs are very interesting animals.
