The gummy Bear lab, I did what you said to try. Which was to taste the solutions. The water for the gummy bear soaked in water for 24 hours tasted like sugar water. The salt water Bear left for 24 hours water tasted terribly salty. I used only 50 grams of salt. If you were wondering , the results for the bears were the same.

I did a little thing with milk, a Q-tip, soap, and food coloring. I filled a bowl with milk and put four different color food coloring in the center. I then took the q-tip and dipped it in soap. Finally I dipped the q-tip in the milk on the food coloring, and the milk turned tie-dye in color http://embracingadventure.com/tag/tie-dye-milk/
