this is about atoms. atoms are the tiny molecules that make everything in the universe. the four states of matter are solids liquids gasses and plasma. when the atoms in a molecule are heated they move faster and spread apart. when the atoms in a molecule are cooled they move slower and come closer together. when you split an atom it explodes. the atoms in a solid are tightly packed and vibrate. the atoms in a liquid are faster and more spread apart. the atoms in a gas are spread apart and are fast.

SCIENCE DISCOVERY
You calculate density by taking mass and divide it by volume. How you calculate mass is you put your object on a balance or a scale. The definition of mass is how much matter is in an object. How you calculate volume is you use a graduated cylinder. If you have a solid you use the water displacement method. You measure the amount of water in the cylinder then you place the object in and see how much it goes up. The definition of volume is how much space an object takes up. Then you divide mass and volume to get density. The definition of density is how much matter is contained in a given volume.
