This science discovery is about LED lights. LED's are known as Light Emitting Diodes. To make light electric passes through the LED creating light.
LED's are more efficient at making light so the bulb doesn't get as hot as a standard bulb would. This is my science discovery for this week.
This science discovery is about a DVD player. We use DVD players everyday right? Well do you know how it works? A DVD player works by a laser inside the disc tray shining on the bottom of the disc. This laser reads all the data stored as bumps on the disc. So if you scratch a disc and it skips its probably because you scratched a bump off ad the laser cant read the data! After the laser reads the data it transfers it to a video output and goes to your TV or monitor. This is my science discovery for this week!
