For this weeks science discovery I chose to learn more about dogs. As of right now, there are over 400 million dogs living in the world. There are not just many dogs but there are also many types of dogs. There are over 100 different types of dogs. An interesting fact that I found was that dogs have really good hearing and are able to hear things that humans can't. A dogs lifespan goes up to 14 years. Some evidence shows that dogs could have existed over 15,000 years ago but it's not known for sure. As most people know, dogs are able to do many things for humans. They can do hunting, and farm working for example. In conclusion this is some things I could find on dogs.

I am going to be talking about cats. Right now cats are one of the most popular pets in the world. Most cat owners know that cats sleep for a long time. They actually sleep for 13-14 hours a day to conserve energy. Cats have teeth designed for hunting small animals such as rats, and mice. Most people are aware that young cats are called kittens but I was able to find more. A male cat is called a tom, a female cat is called a molly, and a group of cats is called a clowder. So in conclusion I was able to find a lot about cats.
