May 04 Science Discovery
This science discovery is on tigers. Tigers are the biggest species in the cat family. Tigers can become 3.3 meters (11 feet) long and weigh up to 300 kilograms (660 lbs). The types of tigers are included; Sumatran Tiger, Siberian Tiger, Bengal Tiger, South China Tiger, Malayan Tiger and Indochinese Tiger. Half of the tiger's cubs don't live to be 2 years of age. Rare white tigers carry genes that can only be found in 1 out of 10,000 tigers. Tigers usually hunt alone, but when they hunt in pack they are called an ambush or streak. They can run up to 40 mph, can swim up to 6 kilometers, and can jump over 5 meters in length.

My final science discovery (assuming we had to do 2 this month) is on badgers. Badgers are part of the family Mustelidae same with otters, ferrets, weasels, and wolverines. Their are 3 types of badgers, the Honey Badger, the American Badger, and Eurasian badgers. Badgers are nocturnal meaning they sleep during the day and are awake during night time. Badgers can weigh 20-24 lbs and grow nearly a meter in length. The Eurasian badgers are longer than the honey badger and the American badger
