My science discovery is on clover. I chose this because I just want to find out a little more about it. Some knowledge that I have about it is that it is an edible flower and it is found a purple and white. Somethings that I have learned form the web about clover is that there are many kinds of this species such as a shamrock or red clover. A shamrock as you may now is the traditional Irish symbol and its scientific name is Trifolium. The problem with eating a clover is to make sure that you clean it first because it is probably covered with a lot of bacteria.

My science discovery is on a Dung Beetle. I have heard the name of this organism but never knew what it was so that is why I am doing my discovery on it. It is a beetle that feeds on dung or feces. One dung beetle can hide dung underground that is 250 times heavier than its self in one night. They are also know as rollers. They roll dung into round balls that are used as a food source or a brooding chamber. They live in many areas some which include a desert, farmland, forest, and grasslands. The scientific name for it is Coleoptera.

My science discovery is on snowflakes. Snowflakes come in different kinds of shapes and sizes. They form by small drops of water becoming extreme cold which is called an ice crystal. As the crystal falls vapors begin to freeze on the droplet which then builds the arms of the snowflake. How all the snowflakes are different is because every snowflake is made on a different path when it falls. This means that whatever path it goes down from it will always be different from the others.
