This week I have decided to use the frontal bone in our skull for my discovery. The frontal bone is in the front of our head where our forehead is which is really that bone. I hope you find enjoyment in my science discovery.
This bone begins at the tip of our nasal cavity (nose) and reaches above our eyes to the mid skull. The skull is also known as the cranium which is where this bone is located if you were not aware. The frontal bone is made up of two portions, squama frontalis, and Pars Orbitalis. This is a critical bone to our cranium with two corresponding portions.
I hope that you have learned something new or at least enjoyed my discovery. There are not many facts on this bone but I still find it fascinating and know it is critical or else there would be an irregularly shaped dip in the cranium.

Scapula
The scapula is located in the upper portion of arm and back. People most commonly know this particular bone as the shoulder blade. It is okay to know it as a shoulder blade but hopefully you know it as the scapula by the time you have read this information.
The average person has two scapulas in their body. Some people mistaken the clavicle or collar bone as the shoulder blade, this is because the clavicle is in the upper part of our shoulder, our scapula is just below. The bone crosses with the spine making two areas in the bone which are known as the, supraspinous and the infraspinous fossae. The spine and fossae give and act as attachments to allow the arm and scapula to rotate. It is a flat and triangularly shaped bones. The scapula is one of the largest bones making up a half of the shoulder. This bone is critical to our arm movement and contains more facts than I am likely to type.
This is one of my bone science discoveries that I hope you enjoyed and learned something new.

Patella
The patella is a bone of the femur, specifically the kneecap. This is a flat bone, somewhat triangularly shaped. This is a small bone that you don't want to confuse yourself thinking there is just the femur and no other bones.
The patella is one of three bones that make up your knee. The bones are the patella, tibia, and lastly the femur. The patella is located at the bottom of the femur although they meet at the top. The bone towards the bottom of the patella is the tibia. The condyles, a rounded bump at the end of some but not all bones allowing them to join. The condyles of both the femur and the tibia that meet at the patella are quite large compared to some others throughout our bodies. The rounded ends of the tibia can move both to the front and back or forward and backward on the ends of the femur and patella. The patella can assist the tibia when moving and will prevent it form moving too far forward, although that does not mean it can prevent you from hyper-extending your knee. The patella is small, in fact the smallest bone in our knee joint. This bone can be bruised, fractured, even broke if you fall directly on this part of your leg.
Patella, a bone of the femur is one of our over two hundred complex bones. This flat triangular bone does a lot for our legs that assists both the femur, tibia, and our walking abilities.
