I did my science discovery on the magpie, the technical for this bird is the PicaHudsononia, the magpie is attracted to shiny objects, such as cars, metals, and sliver-ware, and has been known to damage cars,by pecking at them, and steals anything shiny that it can carry, so any small objects such as car keys, handheld mirrors, and
watches. the magpie is a small black and white bird, that are only a few inches long, sometimes up to a foot long.
11/17/14 science discovery
my science discovery for this week is the on the tiger shark, its technical name is the Galeocerdo cuvier
this predator of the sea can reach up to lengths of 5 Meters and over, it is the only member of the genus galeocerdo family. At times, the Tiger shark can be neutral, or chasing after its prey in a aggressive manner.
the tiger shark got its name from the dark stripes on its body that resemble tiger patterns, as the name derives from. Its prey ranges from fish such as tuna , to sea snakes.
