The Ruffed Grouse is the Pennsylvania state bird. It is Grayish Reddish Bird so it will help it camouflage it during fall. Males have a black ruff of neck feathers. Ruffled Grouse are mostly found in deciduous and coniferous forest. The males are aggressive to their area so stay away and try not to mess with it. The males are 10 -12 inches.
