For my science discovery this week i decided to research Ladybugs. They are a family of small beetles, ranging from 0.8 to 18 mm. They are commonly yellow, orange, or scarlet with small back spots on their wing covers. They are found world wide, with over 5,000 species described, more than 450 native to North America alone. They have a head with antennas, eyes, elytre, wings, abdomen, legs, and pronotum. Recent studies suggested that ladybugs can also cause allergic reaction, such as eye irritation or asthma.

For my science discovery this week I decided to research the Praying Mantis. I found out that they are named for their prominent front legs, which are bent and held together at an angel that suggest the position of a prayer. They have triangular heads poised on a long "neck".Mantis can turn their heads 180 degrees to scan their surroundings with two large eyes and three other simple eyes located between them. also they are carnivores and their size is from 0.5 to six inches long.

For my science discovery this week I decided to research Great Danes. I found out that they are a German Breed. They are known for they're huge bodies and great height. I also found out that the Great Dane is one of the world's tallest dog breeds in the 19th century, the dog was known as a "German Boarhound" in English speaking countries. Some German breeders tried to introduce the names "German Dogge" and "German Mastiff" on the English market, because they believed the breed should be marketed as a dog of luxury and not as a working dog. However, due to the increasing tensions between Germany and other countries, the dog later became referred to as a "Great Dane", after the grand danoisin Buffon's Histoire naturelle, générale et particulière in 1755.

For my science discovery this week I my grandmother gave me a little rock. she said if I put it in water that it would float. So I decided to see if she was lying or not. It turned out she wasn't. It started to float but after a while it stopped floating. I thought i was cool so i left it in water over night to see what would happen. The rock was not floating anymore it was completely at the bottom of the container.
