Ring necked pheasants are the state bird for North Dakota. They range in colors from wight to black and are truly pretty. The mail bid is 25-35 inches long, the female is slightly smaller from 30-38 inches. They eat bugs and insects like grasshoppers and beetles. They where brat to Pennsylvanian from other countries for game. They live for about 7 years, but most of them get shot before then. They have a long tail and the mails have lots of colors, but the females how a brownish color. Just like ducks the mail is more colorful and pretty.

Olivia Postlewait Science Discovery: Lady Bugs 10/21/14

Lady bugs are part of the consolidate family. The coccinellidae are a family of small beetles, ranging from 0.8 to 18 mm. They are commonly yellow, orange, or scarlet with small black spots on their wing covers, with black lags, heads and antennae. They can bright rely hard for little bugs! Know one knows why they are called LADY bugs it's a mystery just like the DADDY long leg. After a female lays her eggs, they will hatch in between three and ten days, depending on the temperature. The larva will live and grow for about a month before it enters the pupal stage, which lasts about 15 days. After the pupal stage, the adult ladybug will live up to one year.

Firefly's are the state bug and also known as a lightning bug. They are neater fly's or bugs they are actualy beetles, they are our most valuable beadles. Firefly's are our most efficient light producers. Firefly's only live for about 2 months. They are omnivores witch means they only eat plants. They eat anything green including grasses weeds ferns and much more. They have black squishy bodes with yellow stripes down there back. They also have yellow on the boddom of there bodies, that is what produces light. Fireflies usually live only until they become adaults, them they breed and live only one breeding season witch is one year.

Moles are a mammal found living underground in lawns and gardens. Although moles are pesky , they help aerate the soil of gardens and lawns, and they help keep snails, slugs, and grubs at an appropriate number. They have velvety fur, tiny ears! Moles have short powerful arms with large paws for digging. People believe moles are vegetarians and that they dig deep in the soil to feed on roots. They tend to live for about 6 years and grow from 4-8
inches long. Their are many types of moles the most common are the eastern mole.
