My science discovery is going to be on German Shepherds. The German Shepards are a breed of a large working dog,they come from Germany as is in their name. Also German Shepards are the most popular police dog, guard and military dog,what ,makes them great police, military and guard dogs are that they are very strong ,fearless, loyal and intelligent. My science discovery is going to be about slugs. The reason I have chosen slugs is because i see them in my moms garden plants and slowly crawling on the ground. First I will Tell you about there scientific name they are in the mollusks of the gastropods.Also they are the 2nd biggest class in the animal kingdom.Did you know that 5% of all slug population is above ground. If you are a farmer you might need to know this fact, about 250,000 estimated amount of slugs live in an acre of land. now i will talk about what they eat , slugs normally eat plants, fruits, vegetables and flowers witch isn't good for gardeners like my mom. I hope you learned some cool things and like my discovery!

My science discovery is going to be on sunflowers. First as hinted by the name of them sunflowers look like the sun. Sun flowers get their nutrient from the sun like many others but they do it in a stile like none other plants. When the sunflower is maturing it develops a way of getting more sun. When the sunflower is in its older stages it moves with the movement of the sun to capture more sunlight. Also it's scientific name is Helianthus annuus and is in the spices category. Some uses of sunflowers are to make food like the tasty sunflower seeds you find in most stores. Also in Germany they use them to make Sonnenblumenkernbrot (don't try to pronounce this word ) by mixing sunflower seeds with rye flower to make this type of bread. They are native by the American Indians to make dyes, medical ointments, food and many other things. I hope you like my science discovery and learned a few things.
