SCIENCE DISCOVERY

Over the weekend i wondered why pine trees lose their leaves. When i looked it up i figured out that they do not lose their leaves because they have this anti freeze substance in their sap. So their leaves don't freeze.

SCIENCE DISCOVERY

Over the weekend I was sitting on my couch, and it was getting late. I wondered what time the sun usually sets. I knew that if I looked up in the sky my guess wouldn't be accurate. So when I looked it up I found that it depends where you are and what season it is. Around here in the winter the sun usually sets around six thirty. In the summer it sets around eight thirty.

SCIENCE DISCOVERY

Over the weekend my mom bought flea medicine for my dog. She told me that more fleas feast on animals blood in the fall more than any other season. When i looked it up i figured out that fleas feast on animals blood more in the fall because of the advance in precipitation that comes with the fall season.

SCIENCE DISCOVERY

Over the weekend someone sad that they think that were experiencing an Indian summer. I was curios to what that meant. When I got home and looked it up i figured out that it means a period of unseasonably warm weather. It usually happens in the autumn and in the northern hemisphere. I could not find out who came up with the term or where it originated but I did figure out the term has been around sense the 1800s.
