9/22/14 MY SCIENCE DISCOVERY
My science discovery this week is a porcupine. We had a female porcupine outside are house. It was a decent size female porcupine it was going after some toads. The only way a porcupine can strike you is if it comes backwards towered you. A porcupine is part of the rodent family it has big teeth and they continue to grow through there life. Some female porcupines are very mean a lot meaner than a male more so when the had babies. but we forgot we let are dogs out loose and they when after the dogs and we had to take her to the vet. she had over 200 quills in her. this is my science discovery!!!!!!

9/8/14 MY SCIENCE DISCOVERY
My science discovery is a coyote trail... I was walking through my field and i saw a coyote trail so i took a stepped back. the reason i stepped back it because it was a male coyote. I looked over my shoulder and there was a carcass of a rabbit. the reason i knew it was a male because the legs were bit on the rabbit. A female bites at the neck so it kills the rabbit faster. the male lets it suffer because he bites the rabbits legs then he bites it rib cage and then its neck.

9/30/14 SCIENCE DISCOVERY
My science discovery this week is... I set up one of my trail cameras because we heard coyotes howling the night before. So i set up 3 trail cameras in different parts where i saw the tracks. then i let it sit all weekend and Sunday night i went out and got it. I knew i had to of caught it on camera because there was a fresh coyote trail in the mud.. so i took it down to my house and there it was 1 male coyote and one female and the male was huge it was around 65 to 70 pounds that's huge for a male coyote. Females tend to be bigger but not these 2. Some of the pictures i got had them holding there dinner such as a bird and a rabbit. So know we always go up the cause sometimes there are deer antlers or rabbit fur and its kinda cool cause you can tell if the female killed it or the male by the way the teeth are. This is my science discovery?!..
