My science discovery is on the company Apple. Apple was developed by Steve Jobs. One of the first products developed was the iPod. It wasn't touch screen. It was like a brick that had a key pad with a headphones port. You could also put a fabric case on it if you wanted. Also, to play music, there was no such thing as the iTunes store. You had to download the songs with an MP3 converter. You also didn't have apps like you do now. (For the record, I am totally addicted to Swimmy Fish.) Then, in about 2008, the touch screen iPod came out. Steve Jobs presented it at a press conference. It was an amazing improvement from the original iPod, and the iPod will always be my favorite Apple product!

My science discovery for today (not sure if this is science but I think it is) is computers. Specifically, Microsoft. The first Microsoft computer was the MS DOS which was built by Bill Gates. It was first used in the 1980s and it was the only way to really use actual desktop computers. You had to operate it with certain commands too! It was used up until the mid 90s until it was gradually updated. You didn't really have the internet either. Unless you installed a certain driver, you weren't going to use the Internet any time soon. It wasn't until about 2003 where computers automatically had internet explorer pre-installed onto the desktop. Nowadays, we have all sorts of computers like our phones, kindles,iPads,iPods, etc. They are even touch screen! But, when the MS DOS was created, having touch screens were only a dream. We have innovated the planet SO much, and hopefully we continue to do so.

CEREAL!
So, for my science discovery I did the cereal project where I took cereal and put it in a bowl w/ milk. Here are my results!
I did this project with Honey Smacks and Frosted Mini Wheats. (blueberry flavored).
I put the cereal in a bowl with skim milk and proceeded to stir it at about the same speed. (I say about because i couldn't measure how fast I was going so I tried to do it about the same speed.)
My results were:
Honey Smacks: 10.37 seconds
Frosted Mini Wheats: 8.57 seconds.
Neither one lasted very long. Probably because I microwaved them afterwards!

Dragon Flies!
For my science discovery, I did dragon flies. I went online and looked up "dragon flies" and learned that you can usually find dragon flies in more humid areas. Meaning, you probably wont go to the Sahara desert and see a bunch of random dragon flies flying around every which way. They eat other flying insects like mosquitoes. When I learned that they eat mosquitoes I liked them a little more. (I HATE mosquitoes.) They also don't randomly fly inside of your house and act like they pay rent. and THEY DON'T BITE! Don't you just love Dragon Flies?

I did my scientific discovery on fog. Fog is made up of water. Fog usually is seen after it rains. It moves up into the sky/disappears as it gets colder, and moves closer to the earth as it gets warmer. Its like a cloud, but close to earth!
