My science discovery is on bees. Why I chose to do bees is because I have a seen a lot of them near my house in the past few weeks so that is why I am doing it on them. Their scientific name is Anthophila. Their length is between 1.5- 1.7 cm. They also have a lifespan on average of one year. Bees are flying insects related to wasps and ants. Bees are know for producing honey and beeswax.

My science discovery was on our cereal experiment. I used Honey Smacks and Lucky Charms. I put them in a cup and filled it with milk about half way ,and I let them soak in the milk for 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes were over I tested which one was still crunchy. My end result was that the Honey Smacks were ,and the Lucky charms were squishy on the outside and crunchy in the middle.

My science discovery is on a chestnut. Why I chose this is because I saw one in my neighbors yard and i thought it looked interesting. it has a spiky shell on the outside then if you crack the shell you will see a chestnut inside. Its scientific name is Castanea. Chestnuts are also both botanical and culinary nuts. It is in the same family as oak and beech. The shell has kind of a green color when starting to grow and brown when ready. The nut also has a brown color.
