AHH.....CHOOO!!! Why do we sneeze? Well this question is my science discovery from this weekend. I was sneezing heavily Saturday night and it came to my attention why do we sneeze? What makes us sneeze? Well after research, sneeze is something as simple as something in your nose is irritating the inside of our nose.
When the inside of your nose feels a tickle a message is sent to a special part of your brain called "the sneeze center". Then a message is sent to the muscles that have to cooperate to create the complicated process that is know as the sneeze. By muscles I mean the abdominal muscles, the chest muscles, the large muscle beneath your lungs that make you breathe also known as the diaphragm, the muscles that control your vocal cords, and the muscles in the back of your throat. And don"t forget the eyelid muscles! Did youn know that every time you sneeze you always close your eyes? Almost anything can irritate the inside of your nose to cause the sneeze. Photic sneezing, photic sneezing is when someone sneezes while they are exposed to brght light.

Don't you just love that beautiful fall feeling? I know I do! It has come to that time when the leaves start changing color and then eventually fall off. Trees get ready for winter. But not quite how we do.During the winter there is not enough photosynthesis. The trees start losing their green color, the trees start to shut down their own food factories. They will live off the food they made in the summer. The trees have small amounts of fall color in summer but we cant see it in the because they are covered up with green chlorophyll. In the fall the bright reds and purples we see in leaves are made mostly in fall. Wastes left in the trees are made into the brownish color. All these colors create the beautiful fall feeling and sight.
