Over the weekend I found an orangish yellowish plant. It is called jewelweed. I found it at my friends camp. It grew on a little bush like thing. If you had one that hadn't bloomed yet and you touched it it would curl up and, the seed would fall out. Before it had bloomed it was green and kind of looked like a small green peanut. The juice from the stem cures poison ivy.

Over the weekend my mom asked me to take my dog outside to go to the bathroom. Right when I got outside I found this purple flower with a yellow center. When I came back inside I looked it up and figured out its a new england sunflower. It had smooth leaves andblooms

Over the weekend I wondered why trees lose their leaves. When I went home and looked it up. I had found that trees lose their leaves so they can store water in their trunks during the cold harsh winter.
