The average leaf is between 3 to 5 inches long and wide. The twigs of the sugar maple are reddish-brown. Thee trees bark is grayish-brown to dark brown.

The scarlet oak leaf is 3-7" long and 2-5" wide.The one that I picked is 6 3/4" long and 4 1/8" wide. The leaf is shiny green on top. The bark is dark grey. On older trees it becomes blackish and rough.
The pine needle of a pine trees scientific name is pinus. The pine trees bark is darkish-grey. Another name for the pine tree is the evergreen tree. Its called the evergreen because its pines stay green all year. The average height of a evergreen is 60 to 90 feet tall. The average tree grows 2 to 3 feet a year.
