Do minor wounds (cuts, abrasions) heal faster with or without a bandage?
INCLUDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING WITH YOUR EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: [remember it must be a controlled experiment] 1. A hypothesis: Minor cuts or wounds will heal faster with a bandage than without a bandage 2. Explain how to set up the experiment:
brainstorm a list ofall the variables that must be kept constant during the experiment: Type of bandage, blood type of people, type of cut, the knife cutting person, area they are in during heal process, how deep the cut is, size of cut, age of bandage, age of person, gender of person, brand of bandage, health of person.
include identification of the independent variable:Bandage
the dependent variable:How much the cut has healed
identify the control group: Group A that isn't receiving bandage
identify the experimental group(s): Group B that is receiving bandage
3. Provide enough details for someone else to set up your experiment For my experiment I will gather up 50 volunteers and split them into two groups of 25. Each person will be cut with a knife on the arm. Group A will not receive a bandage for the wound, and Group B will receive a bandage for their wound. Throughout the experiment I will record the result of healing for everyday until a week has passed. The results will be recorded in a table.
