Does the size of an aquarium determine how large the fish will grow?
The size of an aquarium will not affect how large a fish will grow.
INCLUDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING WITH YOUR EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: [remember it must be a controlled experiment]1. A hypothesis2. Explain how to set up the experiment:
Brainstorm a list ofall the variables that must be kept constant during the experiment: How much you feed the fish and what, how cold or warm the water is, and what you put in the tanks like rocks and other fish decorations.
Include identification of the independent variable: The independent variable would be the size of the aquariums.
The dependent variable: The dependent variable would be the fish.
Identify the control group: The control group is the fish in the average sized aquarium.
Identify the experimental group(s): The experimental groups are the fish in the bigger and smaller tanks.
3. Provide enough details for someone else to set up your experiment: To set up the experiment you would get 3 of the same fish and put one in a small aquarium one in a big aquarium and one in a average size aquarium. You would have to check the tanks after a while to see which fish is the biggest to get your conclusion.
