this month i chose i to one of my discoveries on sun bears. the sun bear is found in the rain forest of southeast Asia. the sun bear stands about four feet all in length (making the smallest bear member in the family.) unlike any other bear the sun bears fur is short and sleek. dark black or brown. sun bears are nocturnal. They lumber through the forests by night, snacking on fruits, berries, roots, insects, small birds, lizards, and rodents. Because of their remote habitat and shy personality, there is currently not enough data to determine if sun bears are in danger of extinction, but scientists fear the worst. that is one of my science discoveries this week.

my second science discovery is the Angora rabbit. this rabbit is probably the most fluffy one you will ever see. it is literally all fur but you can see some of its face. The Angora rabbit is a variety of domestic rabbit bred for its long, soft hair. this rabbit is the oldest types of domestic rabbits. The rabbits were popular pets with French royalty in the mid 1700s. the angora rabbits are very unique looking.
