This week i decided to do my science discovery on a bird. This bird was very fluffy. It was blue-ish purple-ish.It also has a belly that was brown. Turns out this bird is called a shined hawk. I do not know why it is called this but it is very bright-ish. I saw this bird at my grandmas feeder over the weekend. That concludes my science discovery.
10/14/14 This week for my science discovery I found a flower. This flower is purple. It also has a touch of yellow in it. Its shaped like a cone. It also had white in it. I do not yet know what it is called. I do know that people used to drink out of them. That is my science discovery for this week.

This week for my science discovery i decided to do it on a tree. It was very tall. It had lots of leafs. It also had lots of branches on it. It turns out that it was a sweet chestnut tree. This tree usually grows up to thirty meters tall. Fun fact chestnut trees will lose limbs if left unmanaged. The chestnuts that are grown on the tree are covered by a greenish brownish spiky layer so the chestnuts are protected and the chestnuts are inside of that layer. That concludes my science discovery for this week.
10/27/14 This week for my science discovery I decided to do it on an animal. I know it was a bear that was only a cub. It was brownish with a touch of black and was very heavy set type of weight. It turns out it was a cinnamon-phase cub. Heres an interesting fact very few tan or brown colored bears have ever turned up in the eastern half of the continent but I ended up coming across it in my grandmas yard. That concludes this weeks science discovery. http://www.nasportsman.com/journal/black_about.shtml
