9-21-14 Hello my name is Madison and this week my science discovery is on the life cycle of a frog. The first step in a frogs cycle is the making of a frog. Mating takes multiple days to multiply. When frogs lay their eggs they lay them one by one unlike toads who lay strings of them. Usually the female frog is bigger than the male frogs for mating reasons. The eggs are usually laid in a calm streams or creeks right beside the water. Some frogs nurse their eggs while they are growing inside the clear jello egg. Most eggs have very tiny black dots in them, that is the tadpole growing each day.Sometimes after the the mom lays the eggs she will leave and go find a new home to lay more eggs. The moms usually stick around because there are may hazards between fertilization of the eggs and full grown frogs. Shorty after hatching the little black dot is now a tadpole. The tadpoles usually feed off of the jello covering of their egg when they hatch. At this point the tadpole is a small black fish looking thing with a poor set of gills and a tail. After hatching, the tadpole sticks to weeds on the sides of the creek or stream. After 7-10 days the tadpole is ready to swim around and feed off of algae. After the tadpole has grown quite a bit it starts to grow tiny legs and feet. The tadpole is not a tiny frog with an extremely long tail. Let 6-9 weeks go by and your tadpole will not be a full grown frog.

9-29-14 Hello everyone my name is Madison and this weeks science discovery is on cancer. There are many types of cancer out there but today i'm focusing on lung cancer. Lung cancer is known all over the world. Cancers all have to start with something even if it runs through your family or if your lungs have it because you smoke. There are so many various ways to get cancer. cancer can kill but once you have cancer once and it goes away, its bound to come back sooner or later a lot stronger than the first.time. lung cancer makes it hard for people to breath, although people who smoke and get it could have problems with there vocal cords. cancer is deadly but you can prevent it by shots, staying healthy, and obviously by not smoking.
